July 9-

Made it up for my 9 o'clock appointment which was a very difficult 2 hour new patient. I told Maren that I would come to say goodbye when I was through with my morning patient. It then took almost an hour to hook up the Casita . The blankety-blank ball would not seat itself under the cap properly and then when I finally did get it to seat, the clamp would not close. I have an electric drill that will turn the crank since I'm getting old and feeble so I used the drill to raise and lower the Casita to try every maneuver until the battery ran out. Now I realize that I didn't bring the battery charger for that drill.!

About that time an administrative lady from the Saint Joseph's sisters Center came across the parking lot to say that they had been looking for who owned that camper parked in their parking lot. I convinced her that I had tried my very best to get permission but no one could find "John "over the Fourth of July weekend but anyway they said " nobody uses that lot anyway". At least I didn't get booted this time so once again it's better to beg for forgiveness than to get permission. There was still time to go to lunch with Maren at the little café and get her off to her exercise class as I headed for my camping site in Bunker Hill Campground.

July 10 - Dump Day !!!, Yes, we did make it all the way from June 20 through July 10 without dumping the black water tank, but it was touch and go up to the tippy top when we were finally at a place where we could " let er' fly". And a place to empty all the accumulated trash. Hard to believe one old lady and a dog can accumulate so much refuse in so little time. But the real highlight was the beautifully hot, endless ( if you keep pushing repeat) shower and plenty of room to shampoo and dry and style your hair. Pits and Private wipes will get you by, but oh the joy of hot and plentiful water !

It's July 11

The Anoka regional Park system outside Minneapolis ,Minnesota.is a

beautiful park, beautiful woods, with lots of amenities but the mosquitoes sabotage everything.! it was just as well to stay inside however since I had done something to my neck and couldn't sleep for two nights as no position seem to relieve the constant nerve pain.jarring, coughing, yawning sent me into calling for AwSheet.!!! On leaving the campsite by noon I headed for the nearest Walgreens to get myself some soma compound as a muscle relaxer and pain relief only to find that it's illegal for the doctor to prescribe a controlled drug for themselves which never occurred to me as I had never done it before but upon reflection it is probably a good idea or we would have many more addicted physicians on this earth. Next time I'll prescribe it to Mary Riley . I found a heating pad for the neck and shoulders which when combined with some Advil has made all the difference in the world. So I headed for st. cloud , my first Boondocking spot (that's parking on private property gratis and even with electric hookup. It's what I do at the ranch.
