What a wonderful way to wake up to the delightful sound of my fellow LOONs and the swooshing breeze of the lake. I settled on Mr, Coffee as a no brainer compared to all the fancy expresso makers in the place It got cold anyway as I squirreled around the kitchen tidying here and there. Three hours and five dead mice later my rare wave of need to organize subsided and I settled in to the book work I was supposed to be doing. Soon the mountain of leaves and cobwebs ( why do we call them cobwebs) these could be cow webs stretching across the full length of the house ( btw :Dwayne uses Tempo spray once a year) .caught my attention. A broom just wasn't cutting it so I asked Dwayne if I could borrow a rake. He said sure but my leaf blower would be faster. The leaves were so thick ,wet and heavy that the blower didn't even make a dent until I got down to the light stuff. Then lo and behold I found a treasure - big ,fat, squiggling worms that apparently just love decaying leaves. So now I have a cup full of delectable fishing worms. I have put all Northern Pike in Grand Lake on notice that" I'm coming to get you as soon as I have a chance."

When I ran his blower battery dry I want to find Dwayne in his garage. Oh my what a workshop.! Every tool known to mankind and this he said was the old stuff ,the good tools are all at home in his basement workshop. When I learned that he was an electrical engineer of some sort I got his assurance that if I plugged my 30 amp Casita into the light switch on the porch,I wouldn't totally fry the electrical system of the cabin.

He certainly has that Good Samaritan M O down pat as he then proceeded to put some special screws into the Casita to keep the cabinets from falling and then cut the grass. He said he has been cutting the Weismann grass for 30 years!!! Somebody better send him some beer or something. Allison, the neighbor on the other side, says "he is the fixit guy.'

And now for a most needed shower and bed,
